Sicky McSickerson

Yep, this is me today.
(Trying the linking of Instagram photo to see how that works...)

I finally threw in the towel. I started feeling a bit cruddy Wednesday and yesterday whatever this is went full warp speed ahead with kicking my butt. I started getting fever last night and the sore throat got progressively worse. I haven't been "sick" sick in a long time. Honestly I think I can credit a lot of that to being much healthier. Before, when I was much much bigger, it seemed like I was sick all the time. Now I've had a few things here and there (Stomach bug a few days ago) but I haven't been this sick in a while. I guess it was just time for it to catch up with me.

This is definitely NOT the way I wanted to begin my weekend. Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? Let me know, so I can live vicariously through you!

P.S. I am giving the Doctor a call today so I can try to nip this a.s.a.p.

  2. Thank goodness you are calling the doctor. If it's the terrible flu going around there are antivirals you can take to help you! Good luck getting better!

  3. Awww, Des! So sorry to hear you're sick. I HATE being sick. Although I'm pretty sure that no one loves it, lol. I hope you feel better soon! We're not doing anything fun this weekend, lol...I should probably take all my Christmas stuff down and clean our house...but that doesn't sound fun at all!! :)

  4. Awww, you do look pretty pitiful (said in the kindest, most sympathetic way) I hope you feel much better soon! Push those fluids and take it easy. I think sometimes we get sick because our bodies and minds are telling us we need to take a break and just rest. And, don't laugh, but when I read that you were going to call the doctor, I read at as calling The Doctor... I was like, hmmm maybe she is really delirious because I don't think she has the Tardis cell phone. ;) Hope you feel better soon!!!

  9. Feel better girl! I honestly used to get sick CHRONICALLY throughout the first year living in Missouri, I blamed it on working within my clients homes ( poverty + children= constant strep throat..) and got sick soo so much. I got put on thyroid medication and while still working at the job, kids kept getting sick and I finally stopped!

I am taking the weekend to pack and get ready for Tinkerbell! And will definitely ave some posts!

  10. Aww, hope you feel better soon!! That stinks. It seems everyone I know is getting sick. It's crazy. I think they said there is a flu epidemic going on up here - maybe down there too? I know it was in MA and then spread here to RI and last I heard 51 people had been hospitalized with the flu...and that doesn't count the people who aren't that bad! It makes me want to hibernate for the next 3 months. LOL
