NSV Thursday (a/k/a ALL the tank tops)

button

I did something recently that I probably haven't done in about 15 years.  I started wearing tank tops again.  I found some really cute ones and before this year, I wouldn't be caught dead in public wearing something that showed off my arms so much.  But here lately my mindset has changed a bit.  I'm 55 pounds away from when I started this journey and even though I'm not where I want to be, I am proud of how far I have come.    So this may be because I'm a little more confident now in my own skin or something but I've been showing off my guns lately  (or lack thereof).

And that is my NSV for today!

And Doyle says hello too (he felt left out since I posted the other two yesterday).

  1. You are lookin' great in those tank tops! I am SO self conscious about my arms...maybe even moreso than a lot of the rest of my body. I need to get in the tank top mindset too and not give an eff...we are going to rock it this summer! You look great!

    1. Yes, they are. But I need some nerdy ones. These are not nearly nerdy enough for my liking. :)

  4. Those tank tops are super cute (love the blue stripey one), and you look great in them! Hopefully my comment doesn't post twice, because Blogger is being kind of wack-a-doo with me. ;)

  5. you have every reason to feel "confident" you look awesome! You have nothing to worry about..... wear those tanks and be comfy!! Im not sure what size you wear but walmart has real thin work out tanks for 5 dollars. Im in a 16-18 and they work great for my walks/jogs.

Good for you on the tank tops! There is no way I'm releasing my chicken wings to the world yet. LOL

    1. LOL Yea, I really have been hesitant to go full tank top but I feel so free and with all the heat here, it's just unbearable. Let those chicken wings fly girl! No shame in that game!

    1. Yea, I will never wear shorts I don't think. Plus I wear compression stockings for medical reasons, I think I'll always wear long pants or capris. Not sure I can ever go shorts again.

  9. Capri's and T-shirts. I despise tank tops, and would rather my legs chafe in shorts than have my arms show. One Day I will be as rockin' in a tank like you!

    1. Yea, I never would have worn them before this point either. I still don't do shorts. Not sure if I ever will.

  10. I always love positive posts like these about NSVs and progress. What you've done and how far you have come is super inspiring! Keep up the great work, which should be more pleasant in sleeveless tops for sure!

  13. That is something I could work on ... I never wear tank tops. I was looking on Pinterest on ways to alter a too big t-shirt and one was into a workout tank. Besides being a tank, I'm not sure if the cut and tied look is too trendy for someone as old and un-trendy as me!
