Ya'll know when you know you are about to do something dumb? You even think 'hey this is dumb, you really shouldn't do it', but yet you still do it anyway?
I had a rough day yesterday. It started out innocent enough. I planned my breakfast and morning snack so that was a win. Then I somehow took a detour into crap-ville and stayed there the rest of the day.
The plan was this, get off work at 11:30, pick up daughter, go to eat somewhere sensible, then take her to her eye doctor appointment, run a few more errands, bring her home, then go home, eat my meal that was already prepped and then go to tennis.
What actually happened was this: get off work, Mom and Dad call an audible. "Lets go meet at this new place, Red Robin". OH EM GEE! Eat the best damn burger I have ever had outside of Beaches and Cream at Walt Disney World.... Waddle out the door to the car and bring Dev to her appointment, run all the errands and then drop her off. Then this happened:
By the time I left Devyn's apartment it was 4:30. I knew by the time I had to get home I needed to eat dinner, change and get ready to leave for tennis by no later than 5:50. I got home at 6:05. There was NO WAY after fighting all that traffic that I even wanted to get in my car again. So needless to say no tennis. And the bad decisions didn't end there either!
The kitchen was a mess and I didn't feel like heating up my leftovers so what does any sane person do? I talked Mr. Skinny Geek into ordering Chinese food. Because you do that when you have just sat in traffic for an hour and a half and to top it all off you (TMI alert..... boys look away NOW!) have just started your monthly "visitor" on said car ride home.
Excuses yes, I have plenty. I just now have to start again. Again.
But back to the present. I did not even weigh in "officially" with the camera today. I did look to see how bad it was. (Up only two, which is a miracle after the burger and sesame chicken and zero exercise fiasco yesterday). So I guess this is me "un-officially" weighing in. 202.
On a more positive note, isn't this the cutest little kitty paw ever?
